Beautiful Books

As you know already, I love reading, and finding new books to read. Here are 10 of my favourite books and series, besides the Bible of course.

1. Christian Heroes: Then and Now Series
Reading about these faithful missionaries has really shown me that God's plans are always better than our own. It has also inspired me, and given me a vision of what my future may hold.

2. Priceless: A Novel On the Edge of The World
When I began this book, I knew about human trafficking. But I never realized how much occurs in Russia, and the full extent of the danger those who fight slavery put themselves into. This book made me angry, so angry, and disgusted. Which might make you wonder why it is on this list. Anger is a good and right reaction to this issue, and it spurs actions.
This book was so well-written, and although it did show the brutality of trafficking, and I would recommend it for those 16+, it was not over explicit or gruesome.

3. Hands Of Time - series by Ashley Nikole
Gah... These books are all set in different time periods, but the characters all tie together, and travel through time. Both "Present History" & "Phantom's Daughter" are now published, and another books is set to come out this winter. They are literally so amazing, and I got completely hooked after the first chapter of the first book.

4. Little Women - Good Wives by Louise May Alcott
Before I read the books, I saw the movie, and I absolutely adored it. The books are even more amazing. They are about family, love, and finding your place in the world.

5. Set-Apart Woman: God's Invitation to Sacred Living - by Leslie Ludy
This book is life changing. It will challenge your approach to life, and christianity, and give practical gifts to your relationship with Christ. I also recommend Sacred Singleness.

6. Out From Egypt - series by Connilyn Cosette
Counted With The Stars was probably my favourite book out of the series, and it is the first book. My second favourite of the series is the last book, Wings of the Wind. But they are all really good.

I am usually not a fan of biblical time fiction, because it seems quite inaccurate to me. There is too much romance added, and making thing seem so simple & easy back then. But these books were really great, and they really helped me see through the eyes of the people back then, just how miraculous and amazing God's leading really was.

 7. The Sword of Truth - by Gilbert Morris
A historical fiction, it is rich in historical details, and a really good read. It shows the temptations that the world can hold, and the struggles that Christians in the middle ages went through to bring us the Bible today.

 8. The Journals of Corrie-Belle Hollister
When I was younger, I really enjoyed these books. I wanted books that weren't romantic, but weren't really easy reads, and were historical. It was also inspiring, and the Christian and strong young heroine was a force to be reckoned with!
This series was really great, and I especially recommend it to my younger readers.

 9. Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan
This is a classic, and really inspiring in the Christian walk. I love listening to the dramatized audio version of this, and the one of Christianna too.

 10. Willow: A Story - by Rachel Rowbottom
Of course I have to include my book. There is a slight pause on Amazon, but it will be back for sale soon, and I will be writing a few posts about it, so stay tuned!

Asking a book lover to choose a favourite book is like asking a parent to choose a favourite child. I have missed so many other books that I love. Check out my Goodreads page if you'd like to see more books I love, or feel free to write to me and ask for some book suggestions!
Let me just say again - Hands of Time series by Ashley Nikole. I could just go on and on about that series. So do yourself a favour, and go read it. And better yet, buy a copy when it comes out.
